Jacob Zuma has urged ANC supporters not to disrupt Congress of the People (COPE) activities amid fears of a rise in political intolerance and a return to the days of no-go areas.
His former comrades-turned-opponents on Sunday warned that they were beginning to see the "signs of what's going on in other African countries" and emphasised the right to freedom of association.While Zuma tried to preach the need for tolerance on Sunday, COPE chairperson Mosiuoa Lekota was in Durban, where he noted that despite the ANC leadership's promises to rein in unruly members, no one had yet been disciplined.
